Mararikulam Beach

Marari beach in Kerala, South India derives its name from the name of a local fishing village Mararikulam. shrouded in antiquity and ancient traditions. which is following a lifestyle similar to that it followed almost a hundred years ago. Men go out daily to sea each day to catch fish to run their household.

Located at a distance of 40 kilometers from Cochin Mararikulam is of course one of the finest beaches in Kerala, South India and is gradually emerging as an important holiday destination

At Mararikkulam you have pristine sand beaches, swinging coconut palms and plenty of solitude. Experience the local aroma in the environment and traditional hospitality in the conduct of the people. Spend your time getting a stunning suntan, exploring the route of the backwaters, changing moods of the sea, witnessing the daily routine of the locals and consuming the scenic beauty of the beach.

Mararikulam Beach has on offer numerous beach activities for the tourists. You can try your hands at surfing, parasailing, swimming or beach volleyball. When you are through with all these, do visit the traditional coir-making units for which Mararikulam is famous.

Mararikulam Beach is connected with all the major cities of India by air, rail and land routes via Cochin. The nearest airport is at Cochin while the railway station is at Mararikulam itself.
