Monument Indicating the first arrival of Vasco De Gama
Vasco de Gama landed at Kappad a few miles north of Kozhikode on 27th may 1498. It was an event which was destined to write the name of kerala in the annals of world history. A monument was erected there to indicate the historical event.

Village - Chemancheri (Kappad), Taluk - Quilandi, District - Kozhikode, Location - About 1.5kms from Thiruvangoor in Kozhikode - Quailandi (N.H. Road).
