Mohini The Attractive Figure of Time

The third item is the time. The avataaralilas of Mohini are the symptoms of the phenomena of time. It is from time from which we can achieve anything like a flower of a tree which turns into a fruit. The movement of time can create wonders, contradictions, attract anything and everything and to become cheated and fools. This nature of the time is exhibited by the Mohini, the name which means the personality which attracts others.

It was the decision of the Mohini to cheat the Asuras on behalf of the Nectar and supply it to the Devas covertly. But one of the Asuras could understood the hidden idea of the Mohini and the Devas. And he disguised as a Deva and participated with them. Sitting between the Sun and the Moon at the time of the supply of the Nectar, thus he could get and chew the Nectar, before he was caught by the Devas, he was cut by his neck. But the power of the Nectar which he had already swallowed acted inside and the head and the body, those parts are transferred to the world of Devas giving them the status of stars and named as Rahu and Ketu

Why the Asura took his seat in between the Sun and the Moon ?

After getting the status of eternity the Rahu and Ketu are given respectable positions among the stars.

To elucidate that the Mohini is the symbol of time, here is the example of an event that the Asura took his seat between the Suryachandras. Though he was covertly drunk the Nectar the Rahu and Ketu have been provided with a possession of Devas and all these heavenly bodies like Surya, Chandra, Rahu and Ketu have become all the witnesses of calculation of time. The days and nights are the movements of Suryachandras and are the basic in kalaganana. Therefore, the Mohini is considered as exactly as the flow of time. It is the symptom of time which creates from nothingness and destroys to nothingness and all the huge events are thrown to the pond of forgetfulness.

The god has no death. That immortality may be considered as given by the Mohini, the time. All the creatures are swallowed by the death. But the animations of all the creatures is felt that they also have the eternity. This attraction of eternity is the amusement of the Mohini, the time.

Who is the Asura who concealed himself between the Suryachandras and had a scant of the Nectar by hiding it from the Mohini? The efficient one may be a yogi or a jnani who overtakes the time and tries to see the reality through the consciousness. The one between the Suryachandras between the Suryanadi and the Chandranadi, between the rajoguna and the tamoguna between the consumption and idleness, sitting carefully and enjoy secretly the Nectar of Jnana related to moksha. He is suddenly killed by the Mohini, but his head and body are alive.

If a man has attained the nectar of jnana his body becomes under the time. The jnana will provide eternity to his soul, but not to the body. The lord Vishnu is also a symbol of time. The Sudarsana Chakra in the hands of Vishnu is really the wheel of time. He has declared in the Gita that he is the time which is destroying the world. The kalaswarupa of Vishnu can be seen in Purushasukta and mahanarayanopanishat. The time is Narayana, the annihilation, projection, forgetfulness and blissfulness are the Mohini, the Moharupa of the time like the sweetness of the candy. To destroy anything and to create something or to destroy something before creating anything is a great peculiarity of the time. Studying all these aspects we may conclude that the incarnation of Mohini reflects the invincible power of time.
