Home > Temples of Kerala > Sree Varadaraja Venkatramana Temple Sree Varadaraja Venkatramana Temple The temple belonging to GSB community of Kasaragod was originally consecrated in 1772 and subsequently in 1905 , the then Pontiff of Sri Kashi Mutt Samsthan Sri. Sri. Varadendra Thirtha Swamier conductd reinstallation of the presiding diety, Sri Varadaraja Venkatramana along with the "Parivara Devas" such as Sri Hanuman, Sri Garuda, Sri Ganapathi and Sri Laxmi. A Rama Nama Likhita japa yajna was held here in 1967. To commemorate the same a temple devoted to Sri Rama-Laxman-Sita-Hanuman was built and consecrated outside the precinct of the main temple in 1985. One of the important Annual Festivals at the temple is "Sankeerthana Sapthaha" (held in the month of December) when 7 days Non stop Bhajan chanting is conducted.
