Centuries old temple on the bank of Bharathappuzha. Mamankom of the Zamorin reigh was here. Thunchan parampu ( Thunchathu Ramanujan Ezhuthachan) is on the right bank of Nila river ( Bharathappuzha) at Tirur where the sand is used for vidyarambham particularly during Navarathri, ( Thousands of young ones have their vidyarambham here).
